Will be returning home to Maine the 5th of Feb, not sure what photos I have, never know. Anyway, retirement is good, Henry its great to see we survived to enjoy it.
sorry you didn't get to move to ireland/scotland?
As much as Robyn and I wanted to, just was not workable money wise in regards to the exchange rate and other factors.Coastal Maine has worked out great, like living in the 1960's. We plan to take winter breaks in Georgia, need to meet for burgers and beer next year, need someone to drive us home.
Hey Ken,I'm sailing past Maine twice in early August. Chesapeake to Newfoundland and back. Go figure.I'll let you know when and you can wave howdy when we come by.Bruce J.
Bruce,Check your course, we are close to the Pemaquid Lighthouse near New Harbor, ME
howdy all. this is bill bradford. Is anyone out there into motorcycle riding? Still have a pack of rabbit dogs and still think the co. 4 patch was the best one.
I tried to sail past there back in November. Left Camden headed for Newport, thence St. Martin. A storm kicked our butt out to sea. We took heavy damage and had to be towed to Nantucket. Nantucket sure is a pretty place! We'll probly be 100 miles or so out when we go by this time....
Weather patterns off the coast of Maine can be severe, lobster boats sometimes don't make it. Will be back down late fall thru the holidays.
If you want an old picture of sta.4 look in the 57 yearbook under the back in the old days.
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. Living in a small beach community, it has that small town patriotism. Looking forward to the local Bristol Day Parade August 13th, might renew my water battle challenge with local fire dept. Hello to old friends, have a great summer, --- Stay Safe.
This is a great site. I love the historical pictures and stories. I am currently assigned to station 2 and I am trying to locate anyone who was assigned to station 2 during late summer of 1968. Any assistance you guys can provide will be greatly appreciated. I can be contacted at 770-241-3524 or by e-mail at email@example.com. If you are in the area stop by the house. The Brookhaven Express is getting a new ride in a few weeks.
Trying to get in touch with Mike or Dennis Corriher. If anyone has current info, E-Mail me - firstname.lastname@example.org
